"The Strathspey Explorer" was the Ayrshire Railway Preservation Group's first booked hauled rsiltour and run from Kilmarnock to Aviemore via Ayr and Paisley on Saturday the 4th September 1982. The locomotive used was split headcode 37xxx. The tour does not feature on the Six Bells Junction website.
